The first FDA-cleared microneedling device

SkinPen® was the first microneedling device to be cleared by the FDA, which is a regulatory fact rather than a marketing one: it means the device was reviewed for the use it is sold for. Plenty of what gets called microneedling is performed with pens that have never been through that process.

The treatment works by prompting the skin to repair itself. It does not add anything — it stimulates collagen and elastin your own skin produces, which is why results build over weeks rather than appearing on the day.

What to expect

A microneedling appointment at either room

  • Consultation first

A consultation is recommended to determine the best treatment plan for your skin goals. Bring your history, including anything you use on your skin now.

  • The session

From 35 minutes. Five options are bookable, and PRP and treatment area upgrades may be available.

  • Afterwards

Minimal downtime. You will be given aftercare guidance at the appointment — what to avoid, and for how long, matters more than what you do on the day.

  • Over the following weeks

Collagen and elastin production is a process. This is a treatment where the result arrives later than the appointment does.

Pricing

From $75

Five bookable options, from $75, from 35 minutes. PRP and treatment area upgrades may be available and are priced separately. The current menu and prices are on the booking page — that is the one place they can be guaranteed current.

Paying for treatment

We accept CareCredit, Afterpay and Cherry

Alongside the usual cards. Each is applied for through the provider, not through us, and approval and terms are between you and them. Ask at your appointment which of the three covers the treatment you are booking — coverage is not the same across every service.

Questions

Microneedling questions

What is SkinPen?

SkinPen® was the first microneedling device cleared by the FDA. It creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which stimulates your body’s natural collagen and elastin production.

What does it help with?

It is used to help improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture and overall skin tone.

How much downtime is there?

SkinPen® promotes natural skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime. What that means for you specifically depends on your skin and the depth used, which is part of what the consultation is for.

Is it suitable for my skin?

It is suitable for most skin types. A consultation is recommended to determine the best treatment plan for your skin goals — that is where we look at your skin rather than at a category.

Can it be combined with anything?

PRP and treatment area upgrades may be available. Ask at consultation which apply to what you are booking.

How many sessions will I need?

That is a consultation question rather than a website question. It depends on what you are treating and how your skin responds to the first session.
